Stress Baking 101

Raise your hand if you haven’t stress baked during quarantine… I know none of you raised your hand! We’ve all dealt with quarantine in different ways, here at DŌ we took to baking (even more than usual). Here are some stress-free things to make for when you’re stress baking.

Brownie cookies

Did you know we sell brownie batter mixes?! Ideal for eating right out of the bowl, but you can bake them into brownie cookies and eat alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a seemingly gourmet dessert. Get yours here. If you have all the ingredients on hand, I also love @Chelsweets recipe for brownie cookies, find it here.

Fudge

Fudge is one of those recipes that seems difficult to do but is actually quite easy! You probably already have all the ingredients in your pantry. Like most things in my life, I always have to add cookie dough into it. Follow along with my fudge recipe here.

Banana Bread

Now who else experienced the banana bread craze the past 5 months? We’re definitely still in it and love Sally’s recipe for a super-moist banana bread. All you need is a couple ripe bananas! PS. We have a limited time banana bread flavor this month as part of our breakfast classics pack! Check it out here.

S’mores

This campfire classic is super easy to make, of course, but it doesn’t really satisfy my baking needs. We have a secret ooey gooey s’mores bar recipe that didn’t make the cookbook cut, but is so delicious we had to sell it in the shop a couple years ago. Find it here!

Happy Baking!

I love posting more easy to make, small batch recipes on my instagram @kristentomlan (sometimes even from my cookbook!), check out some of the ones saved on my highlights! Dōn’t forget to tag us in your creations @cookiedonyc and @kristentomlan.
